I thought this interview with Joshua Davis was very interesting. I've been following his output for 10 years now. I'm having fun messing with his HYPE Framework -- an Actionscript animation library. Someone referred me to Wonderfl.net and suggested that I upload some of my AS3 projects for peer review. Sounds like a great idea.
I love this visualization by LolApps. It shows their engineers working on the code base. Not sure how long it took it took them to gather the data to produce this.

All 239 blog entries I posted over the past 2 years of development of Mathogen were lost due to database corruption. Rather than mourn the loss of 2 years of thought collection, fan interaction, and objective c consumption, I've decided to instead look forward and continue to improve. I'd been planning a site redesign for a long time anyway.
At this pivotal time in the development of Mathogen I'd like to address the intent of this website. Mathogen.com exists to showcase the thought process, development process, design decisions, and current inspirations that promote the continued development of my game Mathogen.
Mathogen version 1.1 was completed in the fall of 2009. After completing the development and initial upgrade of the game I decided to focus on porting the game to Flash in Actionscript 3.0 to offer as a free game to users on Facebook. I am primarily interested in creating games that contribute to the development of critical thinking, essential pattern matching, and entertaining experiences.
No time to dwell on the loss. Time to code!
